First off, allow me to state that this post is by no means a slight against women of slight stature. Two godly women in particular who have really influenced me, of whom I’ll forever hold fond memories, have been on the slender side.
But as you’ll see in a pair of future posts, God looks very favorably on the female body type rich and abundant in feminine softness. In biblical times, fat was highly looked upon. Women’s bodies have evolved, and they increasingly jettison the female tenderness characteristic of women of old, the tenderness which made them uniquely feminine, presumably mirroring the evolution of gender roles and lifestyles since the canon was closed. Men’s ideals have mostly kept up with these changes.
I’m a firm believer that God created women to be soft, “cushy,” cozy, warm-and-fuzzy nurturers. Of the hundreds of female ANR profiles I’ve viewed over the years, fewer than five could be considered slim.
I still believe the slim female body type has its unique advantages, as with almost all body types, but the best physique for a woman seems to be the average BMI with much soft, feminine tenderness.
Women often struggle with their self-image. But woman, God says you’re beautiful just the way you are, and your feminine softness adds to, rather than detracts from, your worth.
