Matthew 15:7-9:
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8 “‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’[a]”

Religion stunts your growth spiritually, psychologically, sexually, maritally and socially.
Religion is the reason a female blog follower said she’s in a marriage in which she feels emotionally distant and heartbroken. It’s the cause of my earlier tension in determining whether to pursue a marital ANR in the first place.
If I were still ensnared by religion, Christ-centered ANR won’t exist.
If Christ were entangled in 21st century American religion, Luke 23:29 would be censored and He would have damned the woman in 11:27 to hell.
Religious legalism leads many to enact arbitrary rules outside the Bible and say things like “the Song of Solomon makes me stumble.”
It prevents millions from experiencing the true beauty and gift that is the Adult Nursing Relationship.
The Christian who’s free from religion is open to knowing a God who commanded husbands to enjoy their wives’ milk-dripping nipples, put their hands through the keyhole, drink heavily from their breasts, and allow themselves to be loved and comforted by sweet, angelic lifelong female companions who squeeze the breast milk into their hubbys’ eager mouths.
We should all be anti-religion, but pro-deep, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, and each other.
