There are many good things God blesses and desires for his children, like marriage, sex within marriage, children, and I believe, an ANR in marriage. Despite his affirmation of these blessings, for reasons only known to him, he sometimes chooses to withhold them from us. He may be saying “yes, I want you to enjoy these gifts, but not at this time.” As fleshly humans, it’s not easy hearing that.
God is Sovereign and much wiser than us. So while it’s hard, we must learn to trust his judgment. And know that since he does everything for our good (Rom. 8:28), even his withholding some good gifts is ultimately for our good and his glory.
