I came across an advice column of one woman who likes to give her breast milk to her dog, and a doctor’s response to her action. He stated how dogs’ stomachs aren’t designed to process human milk, and he strongly advised against such a practice.
The doctor may have a point, but I firmly believe it’s more God-honoring to breastfeed too much than too little. I prefer a wife who wants to breastfeed everything that breathes, than one who’s grossed out by nursing even her own infant. Note how the doctor implicitly states that human stomachs are designed to digest human milk, though he’ll likely disagree with the full implications of his own statement.
