Christian, you were born dead and unresponsive, until Jesus Christ decided to take the initiative and yoke himself to you, thus breathing life into your formerly useless lungs.
Now, God’s cup of wrath towards you is empty. You now wear his righteousness. What’s more, Christ is still advocating for you right this moment. His bloody fight for you didn’t stop at the Cross. He is currently interceding on your behalf this very instant with his Father. You’re now drinking deeply of his ocean of grace and his blood flows through your veins. You have a loving, tender and sweet relationship with the Savior of the world, through whom the Universe was made, and he has your back no matter what. He took on the form of a slave, voluntarily put a yoke around his neck and eternally tied himself to you because he loves you so. Now that you’re drinking his blood and eating his flesh, you’re complete. You lack nothing. No pleasures of this life can satisfy, and all human intimacy is only but a shadow and copy of that which you enjoy with the Messiah. The loving tenderness you enjoy or will enjoy with your spouse only points to the sweet, deep, abiding intimacy you’re privileged to have with Yeshua, the righteous One.
